The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had approved no KPV medicine for any use as of 28 September 2026.

Approval means the agency has reviewed a specific medicine for a stated use.

By that date, FDA had found no studies or other information about people receiving KPV in any way.

What the name means

KPV gets the name peptide from its small chain of protein building blocks.

Its chain joins three amino acids, or protein building blocks, called lysine, proline, and valine.
